U of L neurosurgery program reaccredited - Business First of Louisville:

The review was prompted by the February departure of eightf faculty neurosurgeons who went to work for Last U of L appointexd nine faculty members to its Departmengt of Neurosurgery to replace thedeparted “Our new clinical faculty, in conjunction with our basixc science faculty, demonstrated the school’s commitment to a qualityh clinical education for the young doctors of our residenct program,” Dr. Edward C. dean of the U of L Schoopl of Medicine, said in a news “In view of the facultty transition, we recognize that further improvementxs need tobe made.
” U of L said in the releas e that the school must provide the Residency Review Committee with a written progress reportr in November to respond to the committee’as recommendations. The progress report will describee the efforts by a search committees to select a permanent chairman of It also is expected to include a detailed listing of teachiny cases and list any new faculty hires and teachingg hospitalaffiliation agreements, accordinh to the release. If the committee is satisfied with Uof L’s November the residency program will remai fully accredited.
If the committee has continuec concerns, it might place the programm on probation and request another progress therelease said. The U of L searchh committee has interviewed 11 candidates from the Unitecd States and Canada for the chairman of neurosurgery therelease said.
